During the Conference technical visits to prestigious laboratories of research and the main construction sites in progress will be organized; great emphasis will be given to the works under construction for the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.
Earthquakes and natural disasters have always been a characteristic of the Italian territory. In 2001, the Rose School for higher education in the mitigation of natural risks was established in Pavia and in 2003 the Eucentre Foundation and the ReLUIS network of university laboratories were established both with the aim to study the effects of seismic ground shaking on buildings and damage reduction methods. During the 18th WCEE it will be possible to visit Eucentre and its shake labs.
A mobile shake-table will be hosted at the conference and delegates will be able to experiment it.
